Hey all,

We need a code name for the robot... All of the ones I can think of are lame. Any suggestions?

Don't read the names from Popular Media if you're not all caught up with BSG yet (at the bottom).

Generically Cool Robot Names:

  • Automatron
  • Rot13
  • Protozorb
  • Galaxad
  • Vectorg
  • Neurotron
  • Cyrex
  • Sapience

Drawn from Philosophy/History:

  • Seth, the Egyptian God of Confusion
  • Eris Discordia, the Greek goddess of discord & chaos
  • M. bovis (the bacteria that killed Alan Turing's first love, turning him into an athiest)
  • Myrsina or Myrtle (names of the original Greek "Snow White" fairy tale, which was Alan Turing's favorite storybook and apparently his suicide inspiration.)
  • Modus Ponens, essentially "If-Then" simple logic (attempting to be) used in AI. (Example: If today is Tuesday, then I will go to work. Today is Tuesday. Therefore, I will go to work.)

Or, maybe something simple like Bob!
